Children & Young People’s Mental Health Services

Description

Children’s mental health services work with young people with emotional, behavioural or mental health difficulties, and their families.

It’s a specialist service, which means that referrals need to be made by someone who has met you and thinks that we might be able to help. That person could be your GP, health visitor, school health advisor, social worker or a paediatrician (a specialist children’s doctor).

If you are worried about; low level anxiety, low mood (including hopelessness), low level obsessive compulsive disorder, infrequent or low level self harming, emotional regulation difficulties, consistent and behavioural problems both at home and school you may benefit from support.

To make an appointment you or your parent or guardian can ask your GP to make a referral for you.

Once we receive your referral, we will let you know whether we think we can help and offer you an appointment with our team.
